Monday Motivation

This morning I woke up.....and proceeded to throw it all out!  All the cookies, candy, chips, goodies all in the trash!  Green monster protein shake is in the works and the Sauconys are getting laced up!  We had a great Christmas and enjoyed all our time with our families.  I ate what I wanted in moderation and now it's back at it!  If there are some resolutions you have in your mind today....write them down and get started.  This could be your day #1!!  Once I hit the publish button here, I am heading out to do the 10k Home for the Holidays Virtual race since the excitement of Santa came early yesterday!
What about you.....what are you going to start today (or restart)?

  2. Great job on ridding the house of the poisons and getting back to it! I'm wishing I had limited my salt and wine consumption a day early as I feel like a big marshmallow today! Ick. I'll be glad when today is over and I'm feeling back to normal!

  4. I wish I could say I ate what I wanted "in moderation". Nope, totally ate whatever and as much as whatever I wanted...I'm paying for it this week. :/ I'll probably puke a few times while on my run today. lol.

  5. Awesome! I love that today is day 1 and it doesn't need to wait until Jan 1. Every day can be a new day and no one needs to beat themselves up for any choices made through the holidays. Enjoy your run!

  7. I'm very ready to get back on track, too! We have two more days in PA, which we're enjoying, but it will feel good to be back to 'normal'! Enjoy the 10k, I did it too!

  9. I woke up and trained a client; hit the gym for a 40 min interval training on the treadmill; 30 min at home leg circuit; and ate clean all day! Having leftovers tonight, but no sweets. Just going about my typical eats and workout routine after a awesome Christmas. Hope you had a good workout!

  10. I ate like a pig the last two days, but I did run yesterday and I will be running again tomorrow. I think that having a goal in mind and being able to reach it is key! Good luck on your run!

  11. I am on it! Except the moderation part. I threw back a little too much and yuck i can feel it. 17 miles of running over the past three days have helped though. Here's to this next entire week of forward progress!

  12. The Holidays are NOT, by any means, over , over here. We still have NYE and NYD plus the 3 Kings (Epiphany) who are the ones that bring the presents to the kids here in Spain, so still lots of family gatherings and eating. Still, I am being good (trying at least) until Jan 1st when we'll be with family and then good again until Jan 6th when we actually go out for lunch and pig out.
Thanks for the motivation. Loved Day 1 and the quote of never being too late! Thanks for the reminder!
Wishing you all the very best in 2012!!!!!
